HB hosted a multidisciplinary program curated by Muriel Quancard. Improvisations I engaged the local community in a dialogue around several presentations: a slideshow of Isaac Diggs and Edward Hillel's photographs of 125th Street accompanied by saxophonist Jason Marshall; a video of Jazzoetrie by The Last Poets; and video screenings of Nina Simone's 1969 Harlem festival performance, David Hammons's Phat Free, David Van Tieghem's Screening Ear, Mark Tribe's Port Huron project, and Coco Fusco's AKA Mrs George Gilbert.
