International biennials attract the most affluent consumers of art, music, and theater. HB will create opportunities for visitors to spend money in Harlem and in New York City.

Development

HB will create and attract unique growth opportunities, including tourism, production facilities, small business expansion, education and real estate investment to Harlem and Upper Manhattan.

Preservation

Using historic buildings will protect architectural landmarks in Harlem where historic designation is significantly lacking.

Arts Community

Provides a new way to relate to Harlem's arts and cultural landscape while engaging the international arts community in an ongoing dialogue. HB programs will circulate through social media, the HB website and print publications, accessed by 800,000 users of which many will be part of the arts community.

New York as a Whole

HB's inaugural biennial will attract a minimum of 120,000 attendees.
